Masayuki Toyoshima – Master Luthier
Masayuki Toyoshima has been a luthier for over 2 decades. Trained at the ESP Guitar Craft Academy in Japan since he was 19 years old, he immersed himself in the craft, facing technical challenges such as building a Strat-type guitar without any power tools. Once he had completed his training, the search for work led him to K. Yairi (Alvarez Yairi) guitar builders. The K. Yairi plant was especially interesting to Masa as they focused on more traditional manufacturing methods.
In 2014 Masa saw advertisement for a position at Riversong Guitars in Kamloops, BC Canada and became a member of the fledgling Riversong team.
2020 saw Masa move to his own studio and begin to produce guitars that embody his wealth of experience and craftsmanship.
